Get Comfortable Being Uncomfortable | Take the Next Step | with Daimond Dixon
In this episode we interview Daimond Dixon, former walk-on at the University of Miami (Fla) and part of the 1991 National Championship winning team.
Daimond learned first hand what it takes to become a competitive athlete, and now he utilizes his knowledge and wisdom to coach the up and coming generations. After college he went on to play over a decade of minor league football for several mid west football teams.
Now, he is the owner of Alpha Human Performance, based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan. He started it at the beginning of COVID, so we discuss how he was able to get through the trials and tribulations of opening a gym during a global pandemic.
After talking about his journey through life thus far, we dive into topics such as comfort and discomfort, how sports have changed since the 80's, competition in sports and in business, and how athletes and businessmen/women were forced to level up during COVID.
